In the wake of the Steward Health System collapse and sale of Steward's physician group to another private equity firm, what's next on the front lines of the Corporate Practice of Medicine?

Join Take Medicine Back for an introduction of Model Legislation on the Corporate Practice of Medicine - released by the National Academy of State Health Policy. Hayden Rooke-Ley JD will break down the model legislation - and give us a lay of the land on current state-efforts to reign in corporate medicine, including California's AB 3129. The California Attorney General has paid increasing attention to private equity and the Corporate Practice of Medicine since the American Academy of Emergency Medicine - Physician Group's Lawsuit ended with Envision retreating from California.

Following the legislative overview, we'll drive into the CA legislation with a panel of CA advocacy organizations including Nia Johnson of The Next 100, Steve Tarzynski of California Physician Alliance, and Chris Noble of Health Access California.

Take Medicine Back members can organize for next steps using Take Medicine Back's exclusive organizing board. Become a member now and support the advocacy!

This is the first state legislation introduced to close this loophole. Industry is coming out...
